I am an evolutionary biologist, a parasitologist, and a microbiologist. I got my Ph.D. in 2000 at the University of Vermont and then came here to the American Museum of Natural History to do a postdoc. I was an assistant professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder from 2001-2004 and then returned here to the Museum as an Assistant Curator in 2004. See the rest of the website for more info on current research projects, publications, and field excursions. I threw that fish back as soon as the photo was taken (but for the record, I love sushi).
